Review: StopCall Freeware For Symbian Based Devices
Tag:Freeware, Symbian,

I've always appreciated my Symbian S60 3rd Edition devices for their ability to use simple third party applications that are both useful and easy to use. StopCall Freeware For Symbian is no exception. While the premise for the freeware application is simple in design and execution it provides a valuable resource for different scenarios.
First, as usual I should mention that StopCall is a quick and easy installation away, just download the application and your essentially ready to go. I should mention however that users on Symbian-freeware.com have experienced some issues on certain devices. Please make sure you are using S60 3rd Edition and you shouldn't have any issues.
The program works by allowing users to input numbers they would like ignored and when that number calls the user receives a busy tone rather than a ringtone. This is a great plus if you want to ignore calls during a meeting, or if you are attempting to block voicemails from being entered since the program goes to a busy tone rather than voicemail.
Like I said, its a simple program, but it works, it blocked my work phone number when I attempted to try out the program and that number is a toll-free number meaning although the program is simple it works as described.
I should mention however that blocked numbers even if they are inputted will still make their way through. I would really like to see on an update the ability to block unlisted numbers.
Overall a great and simple little program that i'm sure has more uses that I found.
StopCall is a freeware application written in Python letting you to filter and automatically reject unwanted phone calls. Just add someone's phone to the list and the call will be instantly rejected so that it doesn't disturb you and the caller will hear a busy tone.
