It looks like we’re going SMS all the way today. After PowerSMS we have another interesting application, SMS-Chat. You might remember it and maybe you are still using it. No matter if you have seen it before or not, now is the time to get it as it has a new version out, v1.16.





SMS-Chat made by VITO Technology will get you that much desired threaded text messaging to your device. Sure you will say that Windows Mobile 6.1 can do that already, but what if you don’t have support for Windows Mobile 6.1 for your device yet?





And SMS-Chat is definitely much friendlier when it comes to design and basic features. You get full screen notifications, templates to work on, two new skins, the option to forward and resend messages, multiple SMS sending and active links, phones and emails in messages.





What does the newest version bring? Well there’s the call back option. Now you can call your friends immediately after receiving those urgent SMS messages you were waiting for. Another new thing is the option to save the history of a threaded SMS conversation in a text file. You will never loose a conversation again.





There’s hardware keyboard support now and full sync with any default messaging application. As for languages you get Polish and Portuguese added to the mix.





SMS-Chat v1.16 has been tweaked to load faster and it was optimized for 320x320 screens. Errors with opening links have been fixed and the input field in landscape mode in Windows Mobile 6.1 has also been fixed.
